Going with a body?
Very curious about what axle mods you'll be doing!

What mod did Sendai Mokei RC Crawlers do to the axles?

...

Let's start with the front axle which will require some dremeling.

On the other side.

The front gearbox before added parts.

Step by step.

New gear.

Assembling the mount for shaft output.

This is how it looks assembled.

I'm gonna give you as many angles as I can.

Motor will be attached to the original place.

Mount from the other side.

Next step attaching the shaft output.

Last pic of the adapter.

Shaft adapter to front axle!

Mounted.

From the shaft end.

I will use the old axles from my Pro on this.

Finished product.

SMRC Crawlers from Japan offered me Bully 2-S version for testing. This is just prototype version. Rear axle unit is similiar to the one in front, but it will just replace the motor unlike this in front.

I'm thrilled to see how this thing will perform. But to test it, I need to build it first. Now I'm waiting for the parts starting to roll to the north. This is a good start though!

Will keep you guys posted. I'm sure everyone is interested how these are made, so now you have the chance to look behind the secret japanese curtain.

My guess is that he did the drive shaft mod to the Bully2 diffs like Sendai did to his Berg diffs.

Which would be super cool to see.

Before anyone else asks this, I want to say: I'll let you know later, if they are going to start producing them more.

LOL good call Samu
Hopefully they do.
I think this is a game changer for the sporty class.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it once you get it together and get some testing done.

Default MOA Hybrid vs Sporty

Man I love this type of build and design!

Gonna be sweet...but holy poo MOA Hybrids (Plan B's) go against everything that the "sportsman, shaftsman, shafty, sporty" class was designed to accomplish. If you want to know why I'm building my wife a pro rig and not a sporty, look no further.

I'm curious if one gets built stateside...Jake, do it man. Internationals are packing guns to a knife fight.

Keep up the good work Samu. Rules are made to be circumvented.

As much as I think this is super cool and love the out of the box thinking here.
BUT
Joel I couldn't agree more with what you just said and is exactly what I said when I first seen the video of the Hybrid MOA/Sportsman.

You hit that nail square on the head by saying they are bringing a gun to a knife fight.

Yes, many have said that already. It's no more cheap or even remotely "easy" to build a shafty comp level rig, but that's life. There was still a gap, which eventually leaded to this. I think, that it is just next step in innovations. You'll just have to keep up. (Plan B's )

That's what I thought. And for sure I'm not the first, I'm just trying to follow the leader.

Got to keep pushing the limits!

It goes against the Sportsman spirit?
Not for me... It just takes it further.

Maybe (I was not in the sport at the time), when the first MOA's showed up the shafty crawlers at the time complained that the MOA's were against the spirit of the sport.... Now MOA are accepted and they are the top of 2.2 class.

Thanks for doing a build thread on this. I am curious to see how the upper link mounts work out. This really makes me want to run bodiless in S class. It would be fun to watch all the parts in action when it is being pushed to the limit.
