The Double Agent 2.0 such a Great design! |
Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's When putting together the chassis I found it easier to install 4 screws and nuts at one time the put the braces on. http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/p.../image_14.jpeg |
Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's I installed the light rear axle. http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/p.../image_17.jpeg Old Bully axle http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/p.../image_11.jpeg That saved 4.0 ounces! 1/4 LBS I also bought new wheels- Y-Town wheels http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/p.../image_13.jpeg Old SLW wheels(they will be going on my Wraith) http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/p...t/image_9.jpeg With tires http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/p.../image_10.jpeg Old wheels http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/p.../image_16.jpeg Another 2.2 oz off the truck. |
Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's Like I said it's much narrower than my old chassis. http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/p...t/image_5.jpeg http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/p...t/image_6.jpeg The links are all wrong. So I have lots of work to do. I also need make a new battery tray. The rear shocks bottom out too soon also. At the last comp with the new rear axle and old chassis I fell into a hole and put it in a bad bind. That broke the rear shock mount at the last comp. The shock mount was supposed to have 2 screws I only has one in it! So I dropped 6.2 oz off the rear of the truck. http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/p.../image_18.jpeg The truck was 4 LBS 8 oz before |
Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's Way to step it up Matt! The chassis, wheels, and rear axle are going to make a big difference. I run a shortened shock on the back of my agent. The stock length shocks work better if you raise the shock arm up. |
Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's Congratulations on the killer chassis, we better watch out @ our season finals. You have 2 weeks to get this rig back together, you better get to work. |
Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's Very nice, where did you find the Delrin rear axle tubes? |

Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's I curious to see how the rig handles with Bully2 front axle and Berg rear axle. |

Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's 1 Attachment(s) New truck was looking good until the the gear issues popped up. You need to bring that it back up to the desert for a good, old-fashioned, test and tune session before Nationals  |
Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's Yep, thats the Exceed MT option I put out awhile back. I never caught on. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/rc4wd...le-option.html Somebody can check my math but Berg, Bully and XR all run very similar ratios so you should be able to mix and match from any of the cars. You could run a Berg rear or XR rear and should be fine with just some pinion mixing to make sure they run close to the same. The front axle on the B2 is setup really nice and the extra weight wont kill you in the front. For the rear, I would think it would be pretty nice to get a housing that does not have the motor stick out so far and is not so heavy. |
Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's I broke a third gear in the rear axle at the last comp. Carnage from the last comp. http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/p.../image_19.jpeg |
Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's I might try to harden the third gear myself. The gears are cheap $3.50 each. |
Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's 1:0 for the bully axle ;-) But as Erik said, the motor a little bit closer to the axle would be fine! |
Re: Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's The pin was a lttle lose in the gear. Would that cause the shaft to break? |
