| Rear axle option
I was getting ready to offer a rear axle option for the Berg guys and I had the thought that it would be sweet to figure out something for the Bully2 guys along the same lines. I looked up the gear ratio of the Bully2 and wouldnt you know it, the ratio for a Bully2 with 14t is the same for Berg's with a 12t! What do you have to gain? How about more clearance at the rear motor. What do you have to loose? How about approx 5.5oz? Price point would be right over $200 for a complete, assembled and RTR axle. Whether its a Berg or Bully2, they can be run on the same car. Hopefully this does not confuse people. Here is the Berg thread: Assembled, lightweight rear axles |

If youre already running a Bully2 setup front and rear, this would be a great way to get the rear axle 100% up and going. You could then take your current rear and sell it or give it to a buddy, put some knuckles, chubs and shafts in and in the wash, it wouldnt cost much at all. What I am offering: MT/Exceed plastic gear cases MT/Exceed Plastic gears (steel or Berg avail upon request) RCbros 7075 locker Dlux rear shafts with Delrin hubs Dlux Delrin tubes Final weight is 4.4oz. To my knowledge, this is the second lightest axle set up right behind my superlite axles. |

Very interesting option, though Im not sure the team drivers will be able to run these as they aren't actual bullies. Have you looked at any ways to drop a good amount of weight out of the bully axle? |

I have not looked into the axles much other than browsing the forums here. A light weight set of tubes is needed but RC4wd really painted themselves into a corner by doing the keyed tube into the center section. It will take some effort to make a tube fit that, at least from what I see at my level, somebody with better tools would be able to do it easier but somebody with better tools probably wont be interested in such a product? Let me know when youre ready. I have an axle ready to go sitting here and ready for more if interest grows. | |
