Well we had a comp at "The Donkey Spot". And I was thinking why is it the donkey spot. Well this is why.

On the second course I smoke my servo! Before the servo went out it made a swirling/screeching noise at first I thought it might be gears in the axles. The steering was stuck straight ahead pointed at the next gate. I was able to get through the next gate with no steering. Haha. I must have had the EPA's just a little too high. I adjusted them so the servo would make the buzz noise.

When I drive the Bully 2 VS. the XR10 I'm not afraid to put it in a bind. I didn't know how much I babied the XR10 axles. These axles are very strong and will take a punishment. With these axles you can really drive this thing into anything.

Servo is at hitec for repairs.

We had a comp yesterday and on the 5th course the front wheels stopped spinning. Today I took it part and I stripped some gears :( I have been looking for new gears and everyone is out of gears. Anyone know where they are stocked? RC4WD is out- Tower doesn't stock them.....

Well the gear had more damaged then it looked like. I replaced all the gears and bearings in the front axle.

I got a pair of good shock pliers. They worked great. The o rings didn't fit. But the Traxxas shock shafts fit in the SCX10 shocks. The problem is the piston moves up and down on the shaft. The diameter 3mm correct. I cut the end of the shaft about 1/8 shorter. This lowered the front about 1/8 of an inch.

Only thing I think of I'm sure you have done. With drag link disconnected see if your knuckles/wheels turn freely no binding.
If no binding issues, be sure to set EPA'S correct. I don't think it's your servo horn being yo long.

Use a shorter arm, my steering link is attached just 16mm from center servo.

My Bec was too exposed.

So it time to make a new servo mount to protect my new BEC.

I enjoy to hang out with my dad. He likes Harbor Freight. I saw this do it yourself powder coating system so I got. It's been in the garage for a couple of months. So I thought I would give it a try. I sanded the parts with 240 grit sandpaper to clean the parts. The sprayed them with Simple Green. Then washed them off with water and dried them. This is how it went.

Where did my hair go!

Cooking for 20 min in an old oven!

They came out pretty good.

FLOKI I think you have to bead blast the anodize off first. The metal has to be very clean to power coat.

Eastwood has a good color chart for there powder coating colors.

This is me at our last comp of the year. I had a great time. I changed over from a XR10 to a Bully right before the season started.

I parked next to some great rigs hoping some mojo would rub off, but it didn't.

Look at the concentration on these two guys! On the course I built. Lisa was taking pictures.

Bryce just makes me laugh so much!!!!!!!

Yes I think this time is fixed. I'm working on getting a little more steering out of the Bully2.
