don't mind the giant rims and tires, i just put em on to see what 19" rims would look like on it. lol and for a starting point on the bed bob.

all finished, i think i might create the unfinished welded primered look, like so many people on here are doing..i think pardonmynoob did it first.

Re: RC4wd TrailFinder 2 Class 1 truck build. "Money"

i originally wanted to shorten the bed 1.5". But after measuring exactly where the frame ended, to flush with the tailgate while still keeping my original mounting location(2-3mm screws through the bed)...Low and behold it was EXACTLY and inch..the same width as my blue painters tape. This made it really easy to layout and cut.the pieces went together without any body work at all.
the reason why this is so important?? i didn't want to have to cut the frame and lose the original bumper mounting location...i plan on making metal bumpers and sliders for it, but if the frame and body end together then the bumper will be much stronger..

...just wanna ask a noob question...are the diffs blocked on those trucks, or you can lock/unlock somehow?
thanks...great job you did there...want one too, but shipping to EU and custom fees are gonna kill me... just ask rc4wd if it's possible to ship as a GIFT marcked package...that will save me like almost 200 bucks...

Does the Proline tool box fit inside the bed or rest on the edges of the bed sides?

Is it metal?

plastic, and it fits perfectly between..with no glue you can push it down all the way till the cover hits..and it still opens just fine."thumbsup"
strange enough, it seems that the plastic was coated(chromed) then sprayed aluminum...its attracts magnets..i used some rare earth magnet to keep it closed.

Hello, I've been lurking in the tf2 section of this forum for a while now and I really like your build the green looks killer! I've got a little question for you though. Most guys on this forum who run bigger tyres on their tf2 like the mud slingers cut up the front of their body do you have any rubbing with the bigger tyres? cause I noticed you didn't chop up your body. Sorry if this a dumb question I'm really new to this whole scale crawler thing....and also sorry if my Englisch isn't the greatest I'm doing the best I can :D

i ran the mudslingers in the 1.55" diameter or in metric terms(39.5mm) no real issues with rubbing at all, i never had to clearance any of the fenders what so ever. i did do the shock behind the axle(for more steering) and move the leaf hanger to the front. which moved the axle forward a little. but this also helped the tires fit the wheel well better when articulating. i hope this isn't too confusing. i WILL post p some pictures once my stuff arrives... stay tuned!!
