Default a question for you tf2 owners...

i been gawking at the r3 tranny and new transfer case. i want to use them in a 1:6 scale willys build but im not sure if they will take the abuse. it will be a heavy rig pushing close to 15 pounds probably when its complete. do you think they will hold up to the abuse of a knarly motor and a heavy rig?

Definitely , They are built very heavy duty with 32p cut gears. I wouldn't think you have any problem at all.

Whats a "knarly motor"??

I think if you are not a moron then it should be just as good as any other option on the market.. Its a pretty beefy setup.

But I am sure the right combo and wrong driver can destroy it, add in a pretty heavy rig and things can only get worse..

It's like a gnarly motor, but different.

And yes, it will hold up to some abuse.

IT CAN AND WILL, i tested my R3 and cold case in my Wreep to see what it could take...im pretty sure that my 3300KV PRO4(4pole 12 slot stator)on 4S qualifies as a Gnarly MOTOR..no breaks or damage to report....keep in mind that the R3 has a slipper clutch. the Wreep weighs at least 12 pounds. i did however shear the output shaft off of my T1 disruptor trans...this was because of improper alignment though...i mentioned that as a comparison, so you could understand how strong the Mission setup is.

Ill stand firmly behind my findings and would recommend this setup for ANY rig big or small, its STRONG!!!
EDIT: good luck at getting them separately though, i sourced the trans in PA and the tease in idaho. and they were expensive!!

thanks young version ... now i just need rc4wd to release them separately... your wreep inspired me to build one. i got some gcm metalhead axles with lenthened tubes for wraith internals to use, expensive but bulletproof, and they fit the dragon jeep very nice...

guess i should learn how to spell gnarly...

It'll totally handle the abuse, if you decide you don't want those axles...let me know. haha

the price tag on them hurt... but they are awesome
350 for the axles
45 for vanquish chubs
40 for vanquish knuckles
40 for felsenfest lockers
20ish? for rear strait axles
30ish? for wraith universals
10 for bearings
35 for heavy duty axial gears

so about 570 total into them... dont think ill be selling them anytime soon
