Here is my almost finished TF2. It came to this or a re-re Bruiser, and I think I went the better route...although I am into this more $ than a Bruiser costs, and then some.

Looks great, I think I need to order a snorkel for my TF2.

I thought that overall the kit is very nice quality, although I still had a couple of issues. Also, I felt the instructions could have been a little more indepth. I really hope that some metal bumpers and sliders come along.

They're actually Junfac. High carbon steel 85-130mm. THey make some great stuff and it's very affordable. I have found them for as little as $34 a pair on ebay.

Great looking TF2! There are metal bumpers being made as well as metal sliders in the near future http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/rc4wd...l-bumpers.html I love my TF2 and felt it is lacking in a few areas but overall I am happy with my purchase

Those bumpers look awesome. I hope the fornt wil have a winch mount plate.

My TF2 has a strange issue with the transfer case. I don't know if its the screw holes in the case or the holes inthe skid plate, but when I sinch everything down the transfercase is off alignment by 1-2 degress. It will bind pretty bad to the point no operation. I have to leave them a tad un-done to make sure everything turns smooth. I guess its okay since it will be sitting on a shelf for a while since i assembled it w/ no threadlock and I still need to install the Yota XVD's I just got.

i had the same issue. when i built it from the instruction book i had major major binding in the drive line. butsince i had to rebuild the front axleanyway doto the xvd'sandanother mod i was tryign to do i just remover the tranny and t-case. after i rebuilt the frt axle i put it all back together and made sure there was no binding. then the two bolts that hold the center transfer case bracket that dont screw into the body mounts i replaced with longer bolts with m3 lock nuts (i purposlystripped the threads) and as i tightened everything up from the middle forward i just kept rolling the truck back and forth checking for binding.
andthe newbolts with nuts allowed me to clockthe t-case a little bit more. and now i am bindage free.

hope that helps i know it was long.

The sliders work great. It would have taken me about 25 minutes to fab a new set but with a little fake rust they look the part and do an equal job as a steel slider without the weight penalty. I did fab new bumpers for my rig as I wanted yo make it stand out. My hack bumper was a copy of the factory bumper and it worked well and didn't bust.

My point is that if you dig how something looks, do it up, but just because something's metal, it's not always better ;)

The TF2 is very addictive-just about the nicest scale truck out of the box (IMO).I finished my first build a month ago and have ordered another from my LHS to build a flatbed.
