Question how to easily reach the battery?

Hi Guys- just curious, how do you take out/put on/connect the battery? I feel tired screw on and off the body everyday. Except relocating the battery to a tool box in the trunk, please show me your other ideas

What size battery are you running? I run between 5000 and 6000mah lipos so rarely need to change on the trail.

I run 5000 lipo too. but you have to charge it anyways. I don't want to screw the body every time.

Best bet is to make yourself a tool box for the front of the bed then to store your battery.

Yes. I run 1800mah packs though. You're limited on locations if you have to run big lipo packs.

Can't beet a toolbox in the bed for ease of use. It does raise the COG though.

I drilled a small hole through the box and bed to route the wires.

I like the tool box idea, but I think I'll trim out most of the bottom as to get the whole battery and ESC plugs in it.

Another option if you want to run bigger packs in the stock location is to use captured screws with the threads filed/dremeled down so they slide in and out of the body posts. Check out post 44 for more info and pix:

The body stays on nice and tight but can be taken off in a flash with no tools.

I really like how you mounted the body with capured screws. I just got a used TF2 and I'm gonna steal that idead.
