Default Tis Confusion! Blazer K5 Mounting kit

Can someone please explain to me the purpose of this piece in the Blazer K5 mounting kit? Why is it necessary to move the fuel cell/rx box behind the upper shock mount cross member and replace this piece in its place? I've got to be missing something.

On a side note, I changed the side mounts from the kit, as well. Rather than use the wobbly bar in the kit, I simply added 10mm worth of spacers between the plastic post and the frame, using a longer screw to mount it all back up. Much more solid feel when the body is mounted. Not sure if this idea has already been done, but thought I'd share.

On a side, side note, the title of this thread is a tribute to Q from Impractical Jokers. If any of you are fans, this is from the episode in which they work the counter at White Castle. "Three burgers of ham!"

Thanks in advance for your help and thoughts.

My apologies, I'm a dumbass. After further review, I realized the ESC needed to be relocated to accommodate the interior.

Carry on.
