gelande 2 d90 body on tf2 - other body options with minimum mods?

Anyone tried this? I know the wheelbases are different but anyway to make it fit with minimum modifications? Or anyone know of any other land rover bodies that may fit?

I'm also looking for good lexan beater bodies if there are any recommendations. thanks!

I took the Gelande II body and mounted it to my TF-2 as an experiment. As you said, the wheelbase was off. I used spacers to extend the upper and lower links on my linked TF-2. It was very unstable with that set up so I went to coil overs. That helped some but I still didn't like what I had so I went back to the Yota body. I think you're on the right track with a lighter lexan body if you want to run a D90 style body. My Gelande II is nice, but it won't go where my linked TF-2 with coil overs will. Maybe some different foams would help also.

Thanks for the helpful tips - I thought the gelande body had a shorter wheelbase. Ya I was thinking this may be a route to go but just ended up getting the gelande kit instead. I've been looking at some scx10 bodies but dont think the wheelbases will fit.

You're right, I got my trucks mixed up. I wanted to run the yota body on my Gelande II chassis and had to extend those links. So I put a Tamiya F-350 cab on my Gelande II chassis and the yota body back on the TF-2. Sorry for the mix up.
