| Driveshaft length for Gelande 2 and TF2
Would an 82-117mm shaft be acceptable for the Gelande/TF2 center drive line? I know the TF2 is a little longer. These are the ones I'm looking at: Hardened Universal Shaft (82-117mm) 5mm hole [J90031] : JunFac.com Thanks! |

I had seen that chart but they list several shafts with different sizes as working. The reason I want the 82-117mm ones is that my LHS has them on sale. I notice in the chartt hat they say Z-S0583 is compatible both front and rear on both trucks and that one is 89-120mm so I can't imagine that 3mm would make a huge difference, but I wanted to check with you guys as I don't have the truck in hand yet so I cannot measure.

Also when they give shaft measurements, is the extended number with the shafts end to end but not interlocked? Or does it mean there is enough engament remaining at that length for full strength (ie. operating at 117mm is still acceptable)?

I've been using those JunFac shafts succesfully in my G2 D90 rig. They are a good choice.

Thanks for the help guys, it looks like the 82-117mm shafts are good for the G2 front and rear and the front for the TF2. The rear TF2 shaft needs to be a little longer.

I just put a set of shorty Mip's meant for a 4wd Traxxas on my G2 Cruiser. Not the "slimmest" option by any means, but they fit like a glove and they're not going to break.
