Default Any difference in chassis dimensions between mojave single cap and dual cab?

Hi,

I have a very nice mojave single cab body that I spent a lot of time on, I decided I'll get a tf2 chassis to complete it. I have been thinking I wouldnt mind doing a dual cab body but just having the one chassis for the 2 bodys.

I was wondering if I buy a mojave/tf dual cab complete kit, is the chassis exactly the same as the one for the single cab? If it is different, is it just setup differently or is it not compatible with the single cab mojave?

Thanks for your advice.

Thanks, yeah I know the body is a bit longer but I'm wondering if the chassis is different, or is it the same with the only difference being that things are mounted in different positions to suit the LWB?

Since the leaf hangers mount on the chassis, the only way to stretch the wheelbase is to make the chassis longer. The extra wheelbase length on the 4 door comes almost entirely from the chassis being about 30mm longer. The body and slider mounting holes are spaced further apart on the LWB chassis as well.

Yup. Exactly why the standard cab Mojave is the standard length TF2, and the doublecab mojave is on the LWB TF2.

Does anyone know if the Marlin body will fit on the standard mojave RTR kit without modification?

Mostly concerned with the rear mounts. Since the marlin bed is shorter, Im trying to find out if the mount are relocated.

Because I got a MARLIN body off ebay today! Finally a short bed! WOO!

It will fit, but the two bed mount holes are about 35mm rearward of the Marlin rear crossmember with the mounts. I replaced my frame with a Marlin take-off frame and just carefully drilled two new holes, filled the old holes with some styrene sheet that I cut to fit. Post #60 in my thread:

Shit. I guess I just wont use those mounts. What a bummer.

I do not want to touch a drill. I WILL mess it up. I do everytime I try.

A man, has to know his limitations! lol.

I installed body on frame with two front screws only, marked bed for post holes by shining flashlight from underneath. Removed body, measured difference of 35mm between body mounts, checked marked holes and slightly adjusted as needed. Drilled first with tiny drill bit and went up in size little at a time, finishing with sharp X-Acto knife and very skinny HobbyKing body reamer.

Yes, yes he does lol.
