Default ***Integy Aluminum Gear Case for Clod***

Team Integy has just released this affordable aluminum gear case for the clod. This thing is perfect for high power brushless motors, like the Hyperions, and the Novak Crawler system that are capable of splitting a stock plastic case in 2. It is designed to work with stock parts, so all currently available aftermarket products should work also.

Another possible advantage of this case is weight down low and centered in the rig.

Price .... $34.99 ea

ive been waiting to build a clod based crawler to find some cheap axles, with these out now i think instead of buying i'll just get the parts together and build some bullit proof axles.

X2 1BJB!

Thumbs down

I would be very weary of integy aluminum . I know in the racing scene they are the bottom of the barrel.

What's with the thumbsdown? Have you even seen one of these? Used one?
Or are you just bashing a product that you have no experience with? It's a gear case not a suspenion part. The ones I saw looked very nice. I will run them with absolute confidence. Would you expect the plastic to be stronger?

Some of their alum. was suspect, but that was the earlier stuff.

Alot of the new Type III stuff is actually pretty solid considering the price-tag. Now whether or not it holds up to extreme abuse, that's another story.

Very nice price indeed.

Do you have any idea if Integy plans on making axle tubes (affordable, like these cases)?

being cast alu, what do you think the impact strength will be? brings to mind doing an engine swap on my old 73 honda CB550 and smacking the cast alu somthing or other and it breaking fairly easily. it was the one coming out

The price is awesome!

The weight will also be an advantage, you don't happen to know what they weigh do you?

My only concern would be how well the the aluminum will slide on the rock compared to the stock plastic.

Also it may be difficult to grind off the mount for the stock Clod bumper and the location on the lower front were the case bolts together, they get hung up quit a bit if they are not removed?

If these turn out to be a success, I hope Integy brings more crawler oriented parts to market!

being it only has 2 holes on this side, im guessing it only has 2 on the other side of the nonadjustable type hole.
