Default R.E.C.O.N. Las Vegas G6 Challenge "Gamblers Paradise"

The R.E.C.O.N. Crew is hitting the road again and this time the G-Train is stopping at Sin City. Some of you may know it as Las Vegas, NV, but the G6 Driver will soon refer to it as paradise. RECON G6 Challenge “Gamblers Paradise” will take place on April 2, 2011 and you don’t have to be a gambler to win, because the G6 never rolls snake eyes.

What: R.E.C.O.N. G6 Challenge “Gamblers Paradise”
When: April 2, 2011
Where: Las Vegas, NV*
G-fee: $10.00 per challenger / $5.00 for each additional team member
Drivers Meeting: 0900hrs
Stage Start Time: immediately after the National Anthem

* The exact location will be released 24 hrs before Stage One start time with a link to G-Central.

RECON G6 Challenge “Gamblers Paradise” requirements and intel;

1.9 Class
- A minimum 5 scale items, mandatory tow strap, spare tire highly recommended.

2.2 Class
- A minimum 5 scale items, mandatory tow strap, spare tire highly recommended

Team Class (1.9 & 2.2)
- 2 or 3 person teams. A Team consists of a driver and 1 or two co-drivers and one scaler. The driver will designate a co-driver to drive a stage. For example, the driver of a two person team chose to drive stage one featuring 100 trail markers, the co-driver will drive stage 2 & 3, each of which consists of 50 trail markers. A three person team will have a driver and co-drivers driving each stage. Each team member will only drive the stage that they are signed up to drive by the driver of the team.
- Each team driver / co-driver times will be added together to achieve an overall team time.
- Teams must share one scaler.

- A minimum of 5 scale items, mandatory tow strap, spare is highly recommended.

-3 Stages; two 50 trail markers and one 100 +/- trail markers.

-Several mandatory skill sections, 1.9 and 2.2 will have separate skill sections.

-Time bonus sections with possible optional lines, 1.9 and 2.2 may or may not have separate time bonus sections.

Drivers get ready, put on your blue suede shoes, cheap sunglasses, and let it ride. The G6 Gamblers Paradise will test your scalers capability and your driving ability. I would not want to be a bookie making the odds on this G6.

If you have been jonesing for a scaler fix, you’ll find what you need in Sin City at the G6.

I am going to try and make this event. 6x6 Honcho in the 2.2 class and Dingo for the 1.9 class.

Time to waterproof and add some winches.

Two almost must-have items. You know Parker loves the water and that winch will save you hours of stagebuddy winch penalties.

According to previous G6's I don't think you could or want to run 2 rigs. That would have been 600 gates last week Check with the MAN

x2 for running with your stage buddy. That'd be 1200 markers.

Next G6 we want to wear a pedometer to figure out how many miles we walk.

You guys do raise good points about running 2 classes. I definitely want to at least run the 6x6.

That would be quite a haul, but I'm sure people like me are jons'in to see a 6x6 tackle at least one course, but believe me, one rig turns into a pretty full day!

You figure at the last comp, one stage took about 1:15 and the other was around a :45. With your run and your stage buddy's run, you are doin the G-Jog for around 4 hours. That's a lot of walking.

Not to put you off. It's not like you ever feel like, "Damn this is a lot of walking." because it is so much dang fun, but at the end of the day your legs will feel it. And dress in layers because you will most likely start sweating and wish you could take a layer off.

On the plus side, have you ever done a comp where you actually had 2 hours of legit wheel/trigger time?
