Re: The Official RECON G6 Q & A Thread so i've been looking on facebook and all over here but can't find what i'm looking for...i know last year when the G6's first started and we had ours, you couldn't do anything to your tires ( i thought).. no cutting lugs/siping them or anything.. i was gonna sipe my trepadors a little but don't want to mess with them if it's gonna be against any rules..but i couldn't find anything..anybody know what the word is on altering tires? thanks for any help.. Re: The Official RECON G6 Q & A Thread Hey my Bro!!"thumbsup" What can I do to get a G6 event here in good ole Bama?? or is it possible? |
Re: The Official RECON G6 Q & A Thread Quote:
in short. - Wheel sizes may be 1.55, 1.9, or 2.2, Tires that fit these wheels must be a licensed manufactured tire or knock offs. Tires must resemble the real thing and can only be siped or grooved. No other alterations may be made. |

Re: The Official RECON G6 Q & A Thread I know it has been in the official rules since day one, but many of us don't have Axial based rigs. Some of the most scale vehicles out there are not Axial based. I started rock crawling with a scratchbuilt hodgepodge of parts before Axial was even on the scene. I don't have a problem with Axial or anything. I like SCX10s but I have always gravitated toward other brands and building my own. Is the "Axial-based only" rule flexible? I know I'm not the only one out there who wants to run in a G6 but apparently doesn't have the required equipment. Thanks! "thumbsup" |

any ladder frame chassis will work..shop cut or homemade. as long as it's scale,it'll work. "thumbsup" |
Re: The Official RECON G6 Q & A Thread How about a TF2? |

Re: The Official RECON G6 Q & A Thread The Axial based only rule is only for the Axialfest. It does not apply to any other G6es that I am aware of. |
Re: The Official RECON G6 Q & A Thread Are there any events anywhere near eastern TN/south western Virginia? Anything over a couple hour drive is just impossible (used to drive 48 states + Canada and Mexico trucks, but disabled, legally so for the last 5 years...can't make the drive of more than 2-3 hours now-a-days ),would LOVE to see/participate in one :) |
Re: The Official RECON G6 Q & A Thread That's what I'm getting. Thanks for the replies! |

Re: The Official RECON G6 Q & A Thread So once again I have a few questions… first can we have cold frosty adult beverages on our trek mainly on the rock park event, second I read that you need a scale rig I run a homemade chassies with ax10 trans and wraith axles and am using a proline 1/10 unlimited jeep body with a narrowed honch roll cage, and my buddy has a homemade tube chassie with same trans and axles will these be fine?, third I also read that tires can only be slightly modified I run pitbulls so no worries there but my spare is a tsl bogger that has the little lugs removed will this be ok, and last I made a winch land anchor my question is will it be hogging if when I use it I step on it to sink it into the ground? Thanks and can't wait |
