Default Banebot 380 7.2v help

I just got my banebots in and Im having a heck of a time getting these motors mounted. What give. Im using the stock screws and I just cant seem to get the gears right. Either its too tight or not touching. I can get it to work right but as soon as I start to tighten down its back off track. Anyone have any tips for mounting these.

Ive mounted the stock motors before and changed out a 540 on my scx10. These are just troublesome.

Make sure your screws go in nice and easy. I had to clean the threads out on the motor by running the screw in and out a few times with them out of the truck. After that they went in no problem. I used the stock pinion.

I thought that might be it, so I took a look and the screws thread is different in the banebots than stock. So do I just keep screwing the stock motor mounting screws in the banebot?

The safe bet would be to take your motor to the hardware store and get the correct size. I didn't want to wait so I threaded the screw in and out a few times till it was smooth. I didn't see any damage to the threads on the screw.

Ok I have both motors mounted up.
Finally.
Now I just realised that if I press full throtle that the car dies and the fan turns off.
This is in reverse of fowards.
If I got slow and gradually pick up speed to full throatle it works fine. PLease someone help tonight I would like to to this thing to the local GTG tomorrow.

Another problem is if it begins to crawl it kills it. Do I need to add capacitors?

problem solved. haha
