Default Servo getting HOT?

Hi all I just got my rs10 and put it all together. And I have a hitec 645mg servo in the front (locked out the rear) and last night I ran it for the first time and the servo got up too 220 degreas! after 7 mins. And then I asked my friend who has a bully and he said that his was doing the same thing.
I was wanting some help on this subject before I drop my 5955tg servo in it

I have a 645mg servo without a BEC and mine has never gotten hot. It's gotten a little warm after a lot of use, but never after a few minutes.

Never seen a hot servo unless something is frying, binding, stalling a lot, or is overvolted. I run a 5645 (higher tq) and a 400+oz JR and neither heat up to anything noticable outside of ambient temps after 5+ hours of bashing.
I suggest looking at the spline bearing to see if it is gummed up. Verify that all the linkage moves with no resistance (well little) It should flop about easily. And also make sure your Servo horn is not rubbing on or causing distortion of the servo case or parts.

if the trim is not set right, max turning, they will heat up. if you hear it buzzing at full turn, back down the throw. if not they will burn up. i have killed a few this way. just turn the steering and trim til the buzzing goes away. if this isnt it, it could be from being over loaded, not strong enough, or there could also be a short somewhere.

Hello I think I know your problem I had the same with a little servo and quickly discovered why ...
Your problem I think is that you have set your radio onto digital mode over a servo wich is analogic ... On my 4pk if I put rxsys onto fast (bls digital) then my analogic servos gets very very hot.

Sorry to bump the topic but it seemed unresolved .
