Default 1.1 needle bearing mod question

Ok forgive my stupidity here,im ordering parts now for a 540 with metal gear upgrade and I want to switch out the pins before I break them.

Havent broken them yet so im not sure which pin everyones talking about or better yet where to find a 1.1 needle bearing (canadian). Looking at the manual exploded parts view are we talking part c5?

Any info on which pin and where to find an upgrade would be apreciated thanks. How many I need would be helpfull too lol

i believe the pin that breaks is the gear that drives the dog bones. thats the only gear that has a pin in it. other then wheel stubs. if you wanted to stay with the needle bearings, you could contact a bearing shop, or you might be able to get some out of an old u joint from a 1:1 driveshaft. i used an allen wrench. its hardened steel. no issues. my stock pins were bent from my 12v 390's. those had good power for their size, but the material the pin is made of is really soft.
you would need two. 1 for each axle and total of six if you want to replace the wheel hex ones as well.

I must've gotten a good batch of those pins in my rig...I'm using pretty powerful motors compared to some of you guys and I've never broken one of the pins. Knock on wood.
