ok so its time for some new 540's the one's i have now are 100turn motors what would you suggest the best bang for my buck and what pinions would i need with it also thanks

im running novak 45t they work great. the novak 55t are good too. theres just a ton of good ones out there lol.

ok so wat is better a 35t or a 45t and as for pinions do i get the 48pitch ones?

yes you want 48 metric pitch. well as far as turns its really up to what you like. 35t is going to have more wheel speed and the 45t is going to have more toque. and pinions is something you are going to want to play with to find out where you like it. you can also change your wheel speed and wheel torque through your pinions to fine tune. i personally run the 45t with 8t pinions. also zno carries the 8t pinions from redat and machines them out to fit the bigger shaft upon request.

so a 35t with a 10t pinion is probably gonna have to much wheel speed right and not enough torque. is a 45t like a happy medium for speed and torque?

great choice one the esc.. I think the best all around crawler motor is a integy 45t and its cheap. If im just crawling and not very much from point a to b on flat I like a v11 65t also by integy

well im going to try out the 45t rc4wd with 10tooth pinions. the motors are cheap and i read a bit about them and they seem like they are pretty good but we will see

yes highly recommended but with that you will want to upgrade the pins in your spur gears in the axles. also the stock esc seems to hold running 45t 540s pretty well.

i switched to the 540's long time ago and never had a problem with the pins ever i only went one set of gears also. but might be because i had 100t motors idk but yes one of the best mods done on my rs
