Can't speak for the ESC because I don't run one...but the BEC that comes with it is pretty nice. Mine has been working really well. One thing to keep in mind is simply buying a new ESC isn't gonna be a magical clod stall fix. For example, I'm still on the stock ESC and upgraded motors and I have very little, if any clod stall. It's a combination of things like motors, ESC, gearing, setup, and driving skill that makes clod stall tolerable. However, it does look like a nice ESC and the fact that it comes with a BEC is a plus...I doubt you could go wrong by buying it.

the outcry esc's are nice. only down sides are the size and no lipo cutoff. good low cost esc. plus its capable of 4 cell. rc4wd has good stuff.

Depends on if you wanna go with 540's or not. If you do...there are plenty of different options, such as the novaks, tekins, integys. With 380/400 sized motors options are a little more scarce...I personally prefer the cobalt 400's if you can get your hands on a set.

There's a walkthrough about how to fit a set of 540's. It doesn't go into detail regarding link or shock rubbing...but I just held a novak 540 motor up to my gearbox and it's roughly the same length (I eyeballed it, didn't measure) as my cobalt 400 motors. My motors never touch the links and just barely touch my shock springs...not enough to interfere with anything. Some guys bend lower links and do all kinds of mods for clearance with longer motors, but personally I don't see the need. I've ran straight, non-bent lower links since I got my RS10 and haven't had any issues. | |

What JSOWENS said: I am also running the 400 pullers and love them. GET trigger happy and YOU WILL strip gears with them. I haven't up-graded to the metal gears yet but am on my second set of plastic ones. I think the only reason the second set lasted this long is I've been running other RC's all summer, and not the RS 10. Metal gears are in he future maybe around Sept. or the middle of Aug. |

| Yep, been there...done that. Since installing my second set of plastic gears I keep close watch on my trigger finger and they've been holding up fine.
