I keep reading about people using a BEC on their crawlers. What is the purpose of it? Isn't their only one battery on the rig anyway? I am a noob, so enlighten me because I am sure I don't have all the info. thanks

the bec will put more power to the servo(s) by bypassing esc which limits the power.
