| New questions for the Belgian RS10
Hello, I'm new in the crawling area and I found that the RS10 or his brothers are good for a start... I oredered mine and it should arrive soon. I also ordered 2 servos from Power HD: "High-Torque 60G Servo 1501MG Metal Gear 17KG", I hope there will be no problem to put them on the truck. In the near futur I will buy some tires and change the motors and maybe some bent links. For the tires: Proline Chisel 2.2 or Hot Bodies "Rover" white. I've read that the foam from the Rover is not so good and do not fill the entire tire...True or not. For the motors...?? I've read some of thread on that and I still have to find a place with low shipping price to Europe... For the bent links I'm still looking and dont really know what to take... I will also use some sticky weight to put in the original wheels, easy to find and not expensive, but wow much front and rear... For the rest I will apriciate all of your advices. PS: sorry if my english is not to good but I mainly speak french... Last edited by Big Pitt; 09-24-2010 at 12:13 PM. Reason: I need more infos |

Welcome! Yep, it's true...the foam in the rover tires does not fill the tire completely, however, they're great tires and they do pretty well with the stock foams. You couldn't go wrong with either of your tire choices. As far as the stick weight...it's really personal preference. I only use around 2 oz in each front wheel and none in the back...and keep in mind, the heavier your wheels are the harder your servos and motors will have to work to turn them. My advice on that is to start with an ounce or 2 of weight in each of the fronts, run it for a while, and add more as you see fit.

welcome dude. your english is pretty good. i had no problem reading it. maybe mine is bad as well LOL. jsowens is correct on the rovers. i still use the stock foams and they work great. servos you picked i am unsure if they will or wont work. might have to mod the servo mount but no biggie. If you gotta pay to ship across the pond then i would get the best motors you can afford so you wont have to reorder motors again for awhile. i think you made a good choice for getting started in the hobby. needs upgrades but so does every other rtr kit. good luck man.

So I'm still searching and here are some stuff that I've found: Bent links: Those are uprgage parts for the Duratrax "Cliff Climber": They are on this page: http://www.duratrax.com/discontinued...ion-parts.html If they are o good option do I need to take the other links? And what is the difference between "A" and "B" links? BTW, there is also two 380 motors on this page, does anybody know them and are they good, how many T are they? I've also read that there is some bending issues to the servos hornes and hears...Could that option part for the AX10 could be fitted on a RS10 and protect it? http://www.hot-racing.com/index.cgi?...SCP03H01;c=420 It's all for the moment... not familiar with the links. i still use stock ones. servo horns i have not had issue with. servo itself is junk but other than that you might be able to make it work.
