| clicking sound when turning rockslide rs10 xt
so i just got the rockslide xt and the second day i had it, i noticed when i turn, the servos are clicking like the plastic gears arent catching. so i took one apart and i see no sign of the plastic gears stripping or any other wear, is this a common issue? how can i fix it? new gears maybe, or do i need new servos already? it still turns fine but that sound just doesnt sound good to me. any thoughts? thanx.

The servos that come stock are pretty much junk. Go ahead and buy some good quality servos.

Plastic geared servos aren't designed to handle the torque or load that a crawler needs for steering...so the stock RS10 servos usually fail rather quickly. Your best bet is to invest in some metal geared servos. Here are some nice ones that don't break the bank too much: http://www.crawfordperformanceengine...&products_id=2 |

| Swap em
If its just the front that's acting up, then swap the rear with the front for a temporary fix. Those servos from Crawford are a good buy. Get em.

both of them were actin up but the front was way worse than the back so i got a servo at the local hobby shop and it works perfectly, metal gears are the way to go. but now with the new servo the display on my controller that shows the crab walk the car does the one where the front turns the oppesite direction as the back for tighter turns, and the mode where they turn the other directions really does the crab walk lol, minor so i dont care just was kinda funny when i turned it on and tested it out, i thought i messed it up. thanx for ur responses |
