Default Dual motor Outcry esc

I just installed a new outcry that I got from Zno. I was wondering if the fan is supposed to kick in as soon as i plug the battery in? This happens with the switch off. Nothing else works until the switch is turned on then all works as normal.

im sure right now youre thinking you installed it wrong but... no worries man, yes the fan does kick on even if the switch is off, if you notice you can still steer too, this is normal its because of the bec, dont ask me why its this way i just know from experience, i installed mine a week ago, and thought the same thing, asked around and low and behold , its normal. you have to unhook the battery to stop it.. did you upgrade the radio or still useing the stock one????

Yeah I got the spektrum dx3e so I can use the dig I bought. Haven't installed it yet. Just waiting on my new chassis so I can figure out where I want to mount everything. Just trying out the esc and motor upgrade (I did the 540 mod) to see if everything is working right. Thanks for the response.
