@ 27 turns you'll be jumping it not crawling it. It would be a good candidate for rebuilding. Search winding motors, you could make a sweet custom motor set

Given that RPM, they're likely going to be too fast for a crawler application.

I'm curious to know now. Cuz guys were swapping the cobalt pullers on their RS, and they were running 13-turns.

I would had to this the fact that one of the most popular crawler brushed motor is the H&H Cobalt Puller 454. http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...&cat=17&page=1 Ok it's a 540 sized motor, BUT it's only available in 11T -> 16T and have also a high wheel speed... ass seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJS4c...layer_embedded So why low number of Turn and high wheel speed would be bad?? But let's go back to the ATOMIC ST-18 380 motor, some other point of vue?? |

Low number of turns and higher wheelspeed generally results in broken parts and/or stripped gears. Obviously if you have the steel gears, that possibility is taken care of, but a lot of people (myself included) tend to get a little throttle happy when speed is there so things can break. It also takes some getting use to how to control the speed and make the crawler actually go slow when a bit of wheelspeed is involved. With that said, I love the 13t motors I have. I also don't know of anyone who has tried those atomic motors. They seem incredibly pricey for what they are. Before I would consider spending an average cost of $32 per motor for something nobody has tried in a RS10, I'd either buy 540's, or spend an extra $10ish per motor and drop in some HH 454's. You'd be better off in the long run, I would imagine. |

I have now tried the pullers in both the 13 and 18 flavors.... hated them both! I only crawl, thats it, just crawl. With my hacked flysky i could not get these things to spin without making them really move. This is my daughters' rig, one of which is 5, and it was undriveable for me. How was she going to be able to do it? With that being said, I have a 2 nice sets of pullers for sale. A set of Himark 13 turns, JSOwens motors that he loved, and a set of HH 18s. If thats your cup of tea, I'd rather sell them to a Redcat guy or gal. |

Ordered them like a week ago. If I don't like em I may just save up for a dual brushless system
