Question Stock 7.2V Stick Batt, In the Lansu Remote

just wondering if it is possible to use the stock 7.2v stick battery in the lansu radio.

I have seen posts in the past of swapping them in. But do I need to do anything special, or just solder It on.

Thanx

I'm not sure what you mean by soldering it on, but you'll need to leave some way of charging it. I can't recall anyone needing a voltage regulator.

I used a 6.6 volt Life battery in mine. It fits great and lasts forever. I'm still on the "shipping charge" from 4 months ago when I bought it. I removed the stock AA battery tray and my new battery will plug into the TX in the same connector that the stock battery tray unplugs from. Here is what I use Value Hobby R/C Hobby Store (Addison, Illinois): GForce 5C 2500mAh 2S 6.6V LiFe

not bad for 12$

I just mean solder a plug on or something as the connectors are not the same.

Would 7.2v be too much? I don't want to burn up my radio.. yet. lol

Well scratch that.

I think the remote is fudged..

I believe it is the potentiometer, turn my rig on the wheels center turn to the right it goes, turn back to the left it tries a little sometimes servo has no burning smell and still seems to function right. I'm not going to bother replacing it if it is. I think it is time to get a flysky radio.

Which should I get the gt3b or gt3c, I guess it is just a little design difference that's it.
the Gt3b is cheaper obviously, anyone shed a little light on these?

I can vouch for the gt3b as a great radio. Have you tried to set the stock radio to factory settings? I found that if you get the trims to far out it can cause it to do what you are saying.

+1 on the GT3B. I love mine and know a few other local guys who have also had great luck with the GT3B. However, my vote would go for the GT3C simply because it has a rechargeable battery pack with it. If you don't already have rechargeable AA batteries the price difference is worth that.

Thanx guys.

I may order a gt3b and a gt3c. seems stupid.

but if I want to go out and play with both rigs I need 2 remotes. stock one I will try resetting, as the values have been changed and changed over time.

Maybe the servo horn slipped? If you want switch Chanel 1 and 2. Then when you turn the wheel it will operate the throttle instead of the servo. This way you can rule out issues with the servo and with the channel 1 port on the RX. I hope that made sense lol

yes that makes sense, that was something I was thinking, but I read a lot about potentiometers going, horn not slipping , was first thought.

I will do the channel swap for the hell of it, but I'm pretty sure the steering is screwy no big deal I geuss.

I will be putting the wraith build back together soon with custom links and a few other new mods.

I could just buy a gt3c and a stock lansu again
