Default Redcat Everest 16 - different body?

Is there a way to put a body similar to SlickRock on the Everest 16? I am looking for the tubular body with panels as opposed to the lexan body. If not, any pre-made bodies of trucks or SUVs that will fit Everest 16 without major modifications?

You can find 1/16 lexan bodies and mount them similar to the way the original body mounts.

Most tube chassis are the chassis so you would have to move your running gear over to it. It's definitely doable and would make a sweet rig once tuned in.

Also, you might look at some of the New Bright vehicles that are sold in "Big Box Stores" for bodies in the proper wheelbase range. You can usually find them on classified ads such as Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist (yes, some people still use it), garage sales, etc. They can be had for pennies on the dollar compared to new price.

Thanks. I guess if I were to put on Everest a body from Gelande II, I would need to convert the existing chassis to a frame one, correct? Not sure what the cost would be for such conversion but I am assuming that it may be cheaper to begin with a scale truck.

Actually, making rails cut a chassis isn't too bad. I could help you out if you need. Would just need some measurements from the body.

i have a radio shack toyota pickup body on mine i used the stock twin chassie plates and just made body mounts to fit the body
the 1/2th scale bodys work best lots of tamiya bodys are 1/12 and would fit perfictly like the midnight pumpkin and the brat lunchbox or just about any tamiya body
newbright bodys are the best in my opinion cause theres alot of choices and there usualy very detailed but there bodys seem to off a scale so sometimes the size your looking for is listed as 1/10th and some times as 1/12th so take mesurments and most people who sell bodys on ebay list the mesurments
wheel base can be adjusted but the width can only get wider but not by much

any 1/18 size will look like a monster truck on a e16

Thanks guys. I have some options now. E16 is due to arrive tomorrow. I have to decide now to either get a plastic body of a truck or the SlickRock tube body and panels.

Do you think something like this would fit without major modifications?
