Default Gen 8: Stock reciever to Flysky radio?

Has anyone done it? I plan to but I haven't had the chance to open up my flysky radio yet.

It is supposed to work with the newer ones, such as the GT5.
It will not work with the gt3B/C radios.

I bought a Spektrum 5 channel receiver so i could use my DX5C and it works way better than stock. i would suggest getting a Flysky receiver and going that route.
