After messing around for over 45 minutes trying to find the code in the morning I gave up and enjoyed Easter with family and friends and saved myself over $400 by not obsesing over it. Sometimes just putting the electronic devices away can be a bigger gift then getting a "good " deal.

Corey's wife, Shannon, has allowed me to share her FB post:

You all have been asking daily "what can I do to help"?
Well there is something :)!
Corey is currently in Bakersfield at Center for neuro skills where he is doing awesome.
Every day he walks to the mail box to check the mail for his apartment and to his disappointment there is nothing :(
I guess it's time to share with you all that he can see and read and would love to receive mail! Let's show him how much he is loved and cared for ❤

You can send mail to:
Corey Bauman
2500 Gosford Road apt. 112
Bakersfield, Ca 93309

I'm sure Corey would love to receive mail from his RCC family!

Thanks,
The RPP Hobby Crew

The shipping has gotten out of hand. I tried to order $60.43 worth of small parts today and the cheapest shipping option is $18.32. That means shipping is over 23% of my total! Needless to say another company got my order.

We are getting gouged by most of the vendors and online stores.

USPS Flat rate boxes and rates are as follows for CONUS;
small boxes cost $6.80
medium boxes are just over $13.00
Large boxes are around $18.00 on up.

I ship parts out via flat rate each week.

In most cases the package arrives from my location in Seattle to say Florida in 3-4 days. Closer to me obviously the quicker it gets.

Flat rate also has tracking and automatic $50 of insurance.

The boxes are free as well.

I have to assume that most real companies package at their facilities and USPS picks up.

The only real time involed is for the shipping address to be made and the box sealed shut.

RPP seems to be the cheapest of them charging just over $7.00 for the smallest flat rate box.

Bringing the pain since 1968

If you ordered lipos there are new regulations for shipping as of a couple weeks ago.

RPP has the most expensive shipping now out of all the vendors I order from. I ordered $59.47 on March 21 and shipping was $8.64. Today I went to order less items with a total less than a dollar more and shipping was $18.32? How does it jump $10 in less than one month?

No LiPos. Small, mechanical parts that would have easily fit inside the smallest USPS box just like my previous order.

Dunno... Why don't you call and ask?

I agree, call and ask. With the thousands I spend there each there I'd have no issue calling if it happened to me

JatoTheRipper,

It sure looks like there was an error when the store calculated the shipping costs. Postal rates have not increased recently and First Class actually went down a little. What were the items on your order? If you prefer, send an e-mail to support@rpphobby.com and we will solve this mystery.

I was gonna say...I just placed an RPP order on Sunday night, shipping was only $4.08 and it's at the post office today (Wednesday). Amazing service by RPP to get my order filled and out the door on Monday. I've also got to throw a bone to the USPS for getting it from CA to Hawaii Island in just two days.

That's good to know because RPP is one of my favorite places to order RC parts!

Thank you for the screenshot. The weights in our system were set too high, so when you went to order 4x of each, the weight was WAY too high! They have been corrected. If you ever run into this again, please call or e-mail us and we will make sure you are not overcharged for shipping.

Our product listings are created by humans and sometimes we make mistakes. :)

If you ever run into rates that seem too high, please call 707-462-4152 or e-mail support@rpphobby.com and we will make sure you are charged the correct amount.
