| Ratchet Strap
I had a little free time today and made one...Here's what I came up with. It's partially working but fully movable, It would be fully working like a 1:1 but I made the crank gears a hair too small and now I can't get it back apart. It's made out of aluminum and two small pieces of steal wire for the rotating shaft that holds the strap. Enjoy! -Tim |

Thanks, It was fun making it but I really didn't have anything to base it off of so it was a little tough...I have to admit, I'm overall pleased with it.

| It is slightly larger than scale. When I was making it I tried to get it as small as I could but still have it movable. Any smaller and my eyes would explode from trying to make those gears.. Quote:
On a scale of 1(easy) - 10(hard) I would say this is about a 7 or 8, But well worth it in the end result! -Tim | |

thats deffinatly an 8 for it working man and u should make the strap that you just pull to get tight since it isnt a 1:1. i use the pull to tighten straps on my dirtbike and holds it good plus those would be easy to make with your talent.

I was just thinking today. "Has anyone made/or has tried to make a scale rachet strap?" Because I was going to...until now. Nice job. Mine would have involved mostly silly putty and paper clips. |
