| HPI Rubicon Hard tops
Just a suggestion to any scale vendors with the capability. HPI Rubicon Wranglers are very common for 2.2 .scale and I've seen some make soft top shells like Mocrawler's amazing creations, But a Hard Top would be well received. Anyone with a vacuum former could make a very easy mold for one with tabs to fold in and mount to the back "trunk area" and mounts for the roof and sides ( I glued a lexan one together with similar mounts). Also since it's an easy stretch the hard top would be very solid. Let's face it the HPI body looks alright except for the rear past the roof. It's just retarded. Once again ,just a suggestion! |

I am 100% in agreement on this one. I wish that body was available without the winch on the front and a rear hardtop... would be perhaps the best body on the market (IMO) if they did... -Matt |

We are in early prototype stages of our newest hardtop. We have made some angle changes for the product units so fit the door windows better. All product unit with be sanded smooth and painted inside and out Rough Prototype picture Rough Prototype picture Rough Prototype picture Rough Prototype picture We are going to produce 3-4 different models. 1) Hardtop like pictured no windows. 2) 3 window or 5 window 3) 3 window with removeable bikini top 4) and thinking about a military ambulance type We should have them ready middle of this month. I think the back needs to be angled in slightly, not straight up and it'd look better, but does look good though.

Here's a beta I made out of lexan to see if it'll hold up. It will. Just gotta back and round the corners more. I would say slope it forward slightly more than mine as I'm going to do for the final. Let me know when one of these is ready. I've got a new body to slap it on, since the beta lexan one is chopped for a half cab idea I've got. |

Can you do a few pics of your new hardtop on the body please? I'm quite interested in this.
