| Kind of scale shop/photo backdrop
Some time ago, after seeing amazing builds, being showcased on top of a laundry machine, or the kitchen table/counter, I decided to try and make a backdrop that resembled a workshop of sorts, to take pics of my builds. I had some MDF and luan plywood laying around and got to it. The back wall got a fake door, framed out and detailed, I watered down some premixed stucco patch and applied it with a brush then used a narrow scraper to scratch off lines to make it look like cinderblock. from there on it kind of took on a life of it's own, let the pictures do the talking Basic layout = - 2'x3' base built a workbench Built a fully framed scale window Built a bench vise from styrene Power strip and outlets Built some boxes and ran the conduit Grinder Other scale goodies Here is kind of how it looks now Still lots more to be done, but it's coming together, it's been made so that future expantion is possible. |
