Turned great, especially if it is your first attempt.Looking at the grill area, makes me think there should be another bar across about half way up to better protect the grill area and would give you a spot to mount some off road lights

That turned out great! I like the plate bumpers better than tube. I really need to try my hand at this.

actually yes i'm going to add 3 lights right there, as you can see there are 3 small tabs in front of the winch. The lights would be like .788" / 2 cm diameters.
Let me see if can add more bar on top of it later

I'd say flat black. I don't think a semi gloss paint would look good with the rig it's pictured on. Brand new bumper and well used body.

It looks like the body is prepped for new paint. I say semi-gloss like the 1:1 Safari Gard bumper it seems to be patterned after.

At first I'm thinking about flat but let me try for both color. that body still needs to be painted though, just did sand the old paint and ready for new paint

Nicely done. You may have been "the straw that broke the camel's back" so to speak, in my reluctance to braze. Guess I may have no choice in the matter, especially since I have a 1:6 Willys to do, and some custom work for my 1.9 rig as well.

Oh boy, now to explain it to the wife. (She's still in that interested but not really phase.)
