Nice looking shackles are one of the hardest scale pieces to find. Those are damned near perfect too. Especially the single shackle w/ the little tag taped to it. Does "4mm" refer to the width? Maybe a little on the small side but they sure do look good.

Yea, the "thimbles" are what I'm looking for. Thanks cliff

Hey Mike,

The 4mm refers to the diameter of the cross pin, they are about the same size as the RC4WD ones. I'm not sure of the breaking limits of them though, the other ones are pressed stainless steel and are rated to 430kg, more than anyone will be able to put through them with an R/C.

The thimbles should be easy enough to find just hit up your local tackle shop, or check online they're used for making leaders for bigger fish. If you have not luck let me know I can get some and send them on to you if you like.

Damn, I did'nt even think of pin diameter. That would make them about spot-on. They look just like a set of 4 I got off of an Ebay vendor a couple years back, he's nowhere to be found these days though...

The smaller silver one would be PERFECT for my ax10. No fishing shop around here sells then like that though. Interested in picking me some up and shipping them? I would want 6 of them.

Yeah, see now that would be a good seller.. the larger one is just too big. but the smaller one is a good choose and I would surely buy a couple myself.

Well lads I'm waiting on a box of 100 to turn up as soon as they do I'll work out a price including post and let you know but it should be around $10usd delivered for 2. I can get them in packs of 2 but the cost would be around $10usd ea that way. I'm not in this to make millions, just looking to cover costs really. This is a hobby after all and not a business, besides when I come to the states sometime next year I might need some "tour guides" if you get my drift???

Very nice work!

And yes a pulley is used to reduce pull, or drag. In theory if you put enough pulleys together and had a strong enough chain or rope you could lift a full size 1:1 vehicle with you bare hands. So to say that a pulley is only used to redirect a line is incorrect.
