Default Mounting Accessories

What's the best way to mount accessories? (I've got a Honcho bed/cage)

I've seen the plastic cable ties/zip ties, but what other ways are there? Glue?? Screw??

Some more info would get you more responses. Like what you want to mount, what they're made of, where you want to mount them. Also check the pic threads there is some awesome trucks there for inspiration.

That's really good MTHead. Looks quite realistic too. Looks securable and removable like a real 1:1. That's the things I was thinking - Jacks, Rifles, Shovels, Fire Extinguishers. I've ordered the Bungee Cord kit from TCS crawlers, so I'll see how that turns out too.

The clevis are a great idea! I myself fell victim to the zip tie mounting method on a few items. For my gas can and fire extinguisher, I ran a screw up through the bed and into each of them.

Good tips everyone. I ended up going for a combination of screws from underneath and bungee cords on top. Bungee cords are mainly for show, but are holding the lid of the cooler on, and are holding the top of the fuel can/fire extinguisher in place. Rope for the jack. Bungee cords for the rifle. Those bungee cords from Hobby Gear are awesome!

the lil rubber grommets that come with servos..zip tie them to the bed
and your shovels and small handle items should slide right in.

Is that where they keep their rifles in Australia, on the roll cage.. You need a gun rack in the cab.

Good rule of thumb is to imagine yourself actually driving your crawler and having to use the scale accessories

Here is Australia we like the rifles in the rear, close to where we stand when we go hunting Killer Kangaroos and Koalas!

But yes, seriously, will look at buying/building a rack for the inside for a more realistic approach.

Cheers

the hood pin idea is pretty slick using something you usually try to hide
