I started making them from a rubber based resin after I had a few requests and gave a set to a buddy on scale4x4 and he loved them, even done a video, but I didn't have a vendors licence so couldn't sell them and within a month I seen rcmodelex jumped on the idea and now are making a few different types

still have to be cleaned up but here is the first set The compound is hard to work with in such a small mold its very thick and you have to pour tiny amounts in at a time or air bubbles. Here is a test video of a set I sent to a buddy of mine,he loves them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u501n...ayer_embedded# |

Yea,but after the idea was snatched up by a company capable of producing them in larger numbers then what I was doing by myself and making it look like their idea,I said the heck with it why bother, let them have it,I have a tonn of parts I already do plus a long list of stuff yet to come(but you won't see them until they are actually ready to sell this time.... |

I may do up enough rubber mirrors just to use up the material I have instead of wasting it,since I already have the molds, will see how this next week or so goes.Just the F350 ones though.

My Bro-in-law kept breaking his mirrors on his Hi-Lift, so he simply connected the pieces with some shrink wrap. It holds up really well. Or you could just get some folding mirrors like mine. I robbed them off of a toy F-150. Just a bit large for my truck and yes, it's a chevy, but they work good. I love his truck! My mirrors folded in..... Checkin the side view |
