| styrene questions and help
Hey, as the thread title says, I need a little info on the styrene stuff. 1. Do you glue it together or how do you put the cut out pieces together, say like you are making an interior. 2. What is the best styrene to get? 3. How do you make it be even on all sides? Like a dashboard, how do you have both edges of the dash to be the same? These are some questions I just thought up. If there is any other info you can tell me about styrene, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you. |

With 100+ post you should know better. I dont have near that many and I know. Search first. There is a lot of great info on here. For styrene size, your preference and what you are building determines the thickness you should use. Plastistruct glue which you can buy at your local hobby store should work fine. There are others too. To get it even, I try to cut it as even as possible with a hobby knife or box cutter and then just trim it to the spot. Test fit after test fit. Then you can use bondo to fill in the cracks of "Green Putty" Look in General crawlers, Tools and Procedures, and Body and Paint forums. I hope this gets you started. |
