| Your mom wish she had LEDs like these
First and foremost, I have no relation to the company that sells these. Just want to pass on some good info, and some good products(inexpensive too). I've loved the look of the led light bars, but even in 1/10th scale I'm sure I couldn't afford it. I went on a search, and this is what I found and I still had money in my wallet afterwards. All these lights com wired for 12v use. Some have adapters wired in to hook up to a converter for interior decorating(cabinet under lighting) So here we have light #1 (bought the 6 inch long flexible light strip). This will fit in the larger Evergreen scale models hollow square styrene or U shaped styrene. Note that these 'flexible strips' have the ability to be trimmed down at every 3 LEDs. Next up is light #2. These are almost to small. Measuring in at 10mm wide x 10mm long and 2.5mm tall. These would serve great as rock lights stuffed up in the fenders/firewalls. And lastly light #3. Measuring in at 60 long x 11mm tall and 5.5mm in depth. Website has pricing and more pics, details. http://www.oznium.com/leds |

Yeppers, great place for LEDs, using one of their rubber coated light sets for the Blazer.. The 4.7" fits just right on CGR cage. Gunna build a styrene frame for it.. Besides the ones in the Mazda.. |

So being 12v,what did you have to get to make them compatible for use on rc rigs?

They sell power convertors to plug into 110AC and power these, but for rc or 1:1 use, just cut wires and connect to a power source. Note that the photos are with a 9v battery, they should illuminate even brighter with a 12v source. | |

Common Sense rc sells these strip lights in lengths up to 5 meters, and 5 colors or so, and work great. just wired some up for the "Tufa Trials G6" using 6 2" strips to make rock lights. i wired mine to a seperate 3 cell or you can use the balance plug which is one of the options the manufacturer recommends. they work ok on 7 volts but 11 is better. i have not tested them under water but did everything to the connections to waterproof them |

SUPER BRITE, they look like the same elements used on 12v automotive lamps. I have them on my chevy avalanche as daylight running lights.
