I found a place on line that makes all the display flags, desk top size. I'll dig up the link.

I just went back and read my original post and realized I was not very specific in my request. I am looking for some stickers to put on the rigs. Thanks again for the help, those flags are cool!

How do you suggest making them? I know you are the king of scale accessories! I know you make all kinds of scale stuff for your garage. Do I just find a good pic of a flag and simply downsize it to what I want, then print it on some decal paper? Did I just answer my own question????? Thanks for the help.

What size are you looking for? I have some that are 1/2 " long x 3/8" high.

I make them in CAD & print to PDF & then do a screen shot of the PDF & save it as JPEG & copy and paste to a word doc & then print on vinyl sticker paper: Sticker Paper I use the stuff at the bottom, 85 cents a sheet. It works well for signs & flags because it's thick. Not so good for stickers on bodies for the same reason although I do use it for that as well. Note that some paper is for Laser printers & some for inkjet. I use a laser at work & haven't tried this method with inkjet. But, once you paste the flag into word, mirror a copy of it with an 1/8" or so between the two & cut it out as one piece so you can fold the two halves of the sticker paper around a 1/8" dowel & then you have a two sided flag. I use AutoCAD for custom flags but if you are doing something standard, like an american flag, just google it & copy & paste right from the image. |

For wet slide decal paper you can look at your LHS, mine has it 4 sheets, 8x11 either white or clear for $8 a set. I use Microsoft Excel to set up my sheets. I find it the easiest to lay out with minimal waste. Once the sheets are printed, let air dry flat, give 1 or 2 very thin coats of Tamiya clear, satin or flat. I find the clear works best. Let dry, cut out and use like any other wet slide decal. Very easy and hold up well. All the decals on here are made the above way. |

Any particular brand on the wet slide? I've been wanting to try some of that. my vinyl stickers work great but they are just a little thick for body graphics. But they work great for signs & flags. |
