Default 33# forklift tank

I wanted a forklift tank or 2, but the only scale item I could find was a gas grill cylinder.

Went to lowes, for 2 3/4" PVC caps, and one 1/2" butt connector out of the waterline area.

Glue 2 caps together, Split the butt connector and place one half on the top. Take the other half and split it again, and use that for the bottom.

Take a cutoff wheel for a dremel tool, and slot out the top guard. Drill hole where shutoff valve would be and feed your wire through the guard, and down the hole.

Paint silver.

Total of $1.50 and 20 min of time

I'l get photos of the build for my 2nd one.

That's cool...it looks really good.

Much cheaper then the Propane cylinder you could buy in the scale pack.

do you have pictures or links of the seperate items you used?
That way international readers on this forum can check if they also can get those parts.

what is your butt connector ?
wat is you 3/4 pvc cap ?

here in the netherlands we do not have "Lowes" , so pics or links for reference would be awsome.

These are the closest I could find online. I just dug through the bins looking for something that would work.

Here are some more pics of what he used. The one he listed above shows that it screws on and has the extra "ribs" on the outside to grab...but it looks like he used a slip on style.

Here is a pic of a some pvc pipe so that you can see the parts (since the white on white pics are hard to see)

Except from the sound of it, he glued the caps to each other and didn't use the connector except to glue on the ends
