Thanks for the reply. I'm looking at my old rc18 late model trying to figure out how I'm gonna mount the spindles. I will post a thread when I start.

since i used tires and wheels from a new bright rc car and i had some 1/4" all thread rod laying around i drilled the centre of the wheel so it could fit over the threaded rod in an axle type form. figured out my width of the rod i need then cut it, then i took a nut that fits on the threaded rod and spun it on quite a ways to act as a jam nut then put the tire on then a nylon lock nut to hold the tire on. the way the wheels are i couldnt get a socket and ratchet on there to tighten up the lock nut so i used a pair of thin needle nose pliers and tightened it up the best i could.

i can get some pictures today if your interested of the axle. i have pics of my trailer in the "post your trailers thread".

Thanks for the pic of your axle it's giving me some ideas, and yes I would love to see other pics of different axles. Everybody has great ideas on the axles and it makes it hard on which style to go with. I'm going to the hardware store later to get some more supplies,so I know what to be looking for. Thanks to eveyone for there help

ok im going outside again to get some more pics anyways so i'll snap a few of underside pics of the trailer...

i've also heard of just welding bolts to the underside of trailer and using a lock nuts to hold the wheels on.

Thanks for those pics. Your trailer is almost what I had in mind. That is probably the way I'm gonna go. Simple yet effective.

yeah no problem.

if i decide to build another one i'll use solid rod and expanded metal like this one that Dinky R/C made>DInky R/C ***All Steel "Crawler Hauler"*** but a little wider.

if you need anymore then just ask!

I'm in the process of building my trailer. A few axle ideas out there..... Not many suspension ideas though. I'm going for something a bit different for suspension. I'll make up a thread soon on my build, but the finish probably won't be for a few weeks.
