a good friend of mine "JMCrc" is building a 6x6 recovery truck i had a idea to make a winch out of a r2 trans so me and "JMCrc" went to his work and make a spool on the lathe and we also made a piler block i know dmg has a r2 winch on there 6x6 but i figured i would at least share it with you so here it is and short video of the first test

we put a 55t motor and 8 tooth pinion its is fast and has plenty of power

should work well 4U

did all most the same thing on my 6x6 rig,
but used a 4 to 1 GRU to help the r2 out.
it can pick up this 18lb rig !!
