| enhanced light buckets
I had a thought of adding some light buckets to the front of my PL JK. I got some lighting items from the for sale sec. After looking them over, i had a problem with the buckets. They were all black, not that reflective. So went Ace hardware and looked around there paint section and found a can of Alum. gloss, i had to give it a try. I went home and started spaying different things with the paint, with smile on my face i grabbed the light buckets. What a difference. Here are the pic's I had the Bulldog adhesion promoter, this is only found at an automotive paint supplier, it works very well. Any way on with the pic's. Below is a bone stock Axial light bucket. Don't forget that prep is the KEY to all good paint jobs. Here is a side by side comparison of the to light buckets. If you can vision it, the painted bucket, on the left, will look much better behind the body of the PL JK than the black one on the right.. |
