Default Zombie Assault Unit Accessories

Well, thought I'd post these up here. Here are some little scale items I've built today for my Zombie Assault Unit and the Zombie Garage.

And for those of you interested, the ZAU and garage builds are here Newbie's 1st Build - Scale 4x4 R/C Forums

Next up, was the addition of a front stinger. Yeah, I know. It's a little rough around the edges, but hey, it's my first build...ever.

Then, for a little fun....a 55 gallon drum of oil was produced.

The barrel was easy as pie...here is my list and steps.

1) purchase one of the "three-packs" of tuna with the small cans from your local grocery store.
2) eat the tuna or feed the cat and wash the cans well.
3) JB weld the cans together
4) cut a piece of .060 or thickeriece of styrene for the top. Anything thinner will sag.
5) cut some styrene tube for the inlet and air holes in the drum.
6) paint everything your choice of color.
7) while that is drying, find your choice of stickers on the Internet
print them out on some "bumper sticker" material and cut out.
9) stick them on the barrel and you are done!!

That's cool! Too bad I just bought the 4 pack of regular tuna about an hour ago. That's a great idea and use of common items. It looks spot on.

Die Zombe scum.... DIE!

Lovin' the Zombie eliminator weaponry
Your front looks great for your first attempt.
We are always our own harshest critics.... But honestly, it looks good nice work

I printed my own decals not long ago but they faded out within a months time. Are you having the same problem? Or is your truck something that stays indoors?
If yours do not fade..... What do you think I may be doing wrong?

All of my logos on the Zombie Truck are on the inside of the lexan are glued in place before paint using XXX Main Legan Glue. The stickers on the drum is true "bumper sticker" material...however, the drums stay inside. Sorry but I haven't tested the grading of the stickers in the sun.

Really cool ideas, I just called my wife and told her to start saving those cans. Dang cat gets one a day. Definitely have to be ready for the zombie apocolypse, the CDC actually spent good money in research on it.

I thought for sure that was an actual 55 gallon drum you were showing as an example of what the one you made would look like. Had me fooled.. Great job.

Not hard at all to build that bumper....if you know how to braze. I used brass and steel brake line to make it. Search through the forum and there are tons of threads discussing the materials needed to braze.

I've brazed copper tubing since I was knee-high to a grass hopper, so I had a feel for it to begin with. Take your time and you can do it as well.

Work has been kicking my arse here lately, so I have gotten very little done....however, yellow top battery has now been assembled, painted and ready to go.
