HOW TO: 3Racing winch install on an SCX10 2012 Rubicon.

Hope this helps anyone looking to install a 3Racing winch on the Poison Spider bumper of an SCX10 2012 Rubicon:

Could you just bolt straight through the bumper, through the winch plate and into the winch? Basically just using the pinching the winch plate between the winch and the bumper only using the existing four winch feet bolt locations?

Not bashing at all.. I probably would have went that route if I had seen the post sooner.
when installing them in my friends and mine, we drilled out the holes for the winch to winch plate hole through the bumper so the entire screw would fit through it. Then mounted the plate to the bumper (outer holes), using a pair of needle nose to hold the nuts in above the bumper mounts. And since the inner holes allowed the screw to pass through the bumper, mounting the winch back down to the plate was easy cheesy.
What did you do to you SCX-10 today?

That plastic is pretty soft, by putting a plate there you spread the stress out over a bigger area, less likely for the screw heads to pull through the plastic. Looks great though!
