Default ******killer kustomz start gate's******

So I started making start gates for the club and had an idea to make them like King of the Hammers style start gate

After couple hours drawing and programing, and an hour of cut time on my cnc a little time fitting
and we have our kustom USCA start gates.

I am thinking about shorting the top by three inches it looks a little to tall.
What color do you guys think we should paint them?
What do you guys think???? don't hold back

Looks awesome! I say leave the height where it's at, and maybe hang some scale banners from it...

Thumbs up Re: ******killer kustomz start gate's******

Most excellent idea!!!

I think EVERY event should own at least 2 of these.
An official START and FINISH line would surely bring any event up that extra level of professionalism!

You could obviously paint these any color from a realistic steel look to something matching a clubs colors. Advice for sale purposes... Either leave them unfinished or base coat them a light color that wouldn't take a ton of work to change/topcoat.

Personal opinion.... I think if you had a way to do it, an adjustable internal gate height and an adjustable internal gate width would be an awesome selling point.

A person could adjust the height and width to match the maximum dimensions of whatever class being run. If you don't fit through the starting line, you don't compete!

Most excellent idea & superior craftsmanship!

So this wasn't a feeler thread. I had originally had not intentions of making these for people but I have been convinced other wise. So I am going to get some more built before I offer them up. Would you guys prefer to get them in a kit for you to assemble, or Should I assemble and you just paint? Or offer both. whats your opinion.

I can assemble myself.

im sure others may want pre assembled or partially assembled.
Shipping would be a factor as well on pre assembled.

Got some pics for you guys. Sorry it took so long.

I would like to introduce myself to ya, I work as a production manger at a large high end custom cabinet shop. I have a great crew. Any how on to some pics.

This one is done to look old and worn out.

Its been wire brushed and painted black. Then sanded most of the paint off and glazed with vandyke.

Let me know what you guys think. I have some other paint ideas in mind that I think will look cool.
