| POWERHOUSE OFFROAD Scale Garage.
Hey guys, Well this has been in the works for the longest time. Finally I had a chance to get going on it. It's not going to be crazy with scale details. There are plenty of guys out there that have over the top talent. I just need something fun for background pictures. I'm trying to keep the budget low and just use stuff laying around and a little creativity to get the results. I've tried not to stare at the other scale garages so that I come up with my own ideas. Hopefully my subconscious doesn't rip off anyone's build! On to the pictures. The walls are in place. Had to build a staircase to the upstairs office. Gotta have a fridge in the garage. Storage rack for crap to pile up on. Office door Office window Sand blasting cabinet. Tool Chest End of Day one! I've got a lot of painting to do. Hopefully another update this week. Thanks for looking. Greg Last edited by Bulldog; 04-30-2014 at 11:07 PM. |

Thanks guys, the real fun will be getting all the little color details done. Today was a wash, but tomorrow is a potential go. The Floor is a piece of MDF on an old desk with a sheet of very thin styrene sheet painted with Rustoleum 2x Satin Granite paint. The only crapper is, if the sun hits the situation, it heats the styrene up and it starts to buckle! I'll either glue it down or wait for the shadier part of the day. It's one of my main work tables, so the plan is to set it up when I want pictures, the rest of the time it will be a scale dump! |

Ok, Fun Update. Finally started getting to the color layer of the build. I used construction paper and spray adhesive to get the color on the walls. The blue is black paint sprayed with blue to get that powerhouse electric color I love. Laying things out. Son of a B#@$%! I think the adhesive dried too quickly on this sheet. It bubbled really bad. Luckily it pealed off and I put a fresh sheet on it. Hopefully it holds! I started working on 1:1 logos on the side wall. Scale RC Vendors will go on the back wall hopefully tomorrow. I had to geek out a scale pallet. With Scale parts. On a scale Gooseneck. I also got my wraps installed on the shop truck. That's it for today! Maybe some more tomorrow. I'm waiting for a shipment to come in to finish the walls. Thanks for looking. Greg Last edited by Bulldog; 05-01-2014 at 05:43 PM. |

I didn't update this thread. Unfortunately, the adhesive that I used totally failed with the paper. The walls buckled and it was a complete loss. I had to totally start over. As of now, it's all painted and just needs to be reassembled. I've just got some other things to get hot on. No updates for probably another month. One step forward and two steps back. Greg
