Default Rock Sliders

For those that have built their own rock sliders, what size tubing you using? Soild rod or brakeline?

echo i used 3/16 square stock brazed on 1/8" rod then ground to shape.

Yea and kila stole that set up from me

I used 3/16 solid on my clone

Hey 1bjb, is that 3/16 solid the same size as 3/16 brake line? brake line is measuered from the inside hole, so how is the solid kind measured? but do you think brake line would make it that much weaker? sorry for the noob questions. also where did you get that stuff? i looked at a lot of hardware stores and nobody has any.

well the cross bars are 3/16 brake line on my sliders, because it was easier to cut so many lil pieces, just a lil bit harder to braze but thats alright. It appears to be the same size? I guess I would have to Mic it to be certain. I used to get the solid from the LHS but they closed, it was stainless too, nice stuff. Now I get it from home depot.

My stuff is all 3/16 brake line. These sliders have probably seen more abuse than any and have held up fine.
