Default TTC rules and info

First I'd like to thank RC4WD for sponsoring the TTC for the Southwest Scale Championship!

All info and rules will be located here. I will be updating it in the next couple weeks and answering questions. If you have any questions, please ask them here.

The TTC will take place in St. George on Sunday morning. Start time will be approximately 9:00 am. More detailed info and address to come....

Entry fee for the TTC will be $50. All TTC competitors will need to bring their entry fee to the TTC site and will need to pay on Sunday morning.

The top 6 vote getters in the TTC voting thread will be in. LMooskey is the RC4WD team driver and is automatically in. The top 3 Class 3 finishers on Friday will be in if they choose. If the top 3 are already voted in or don't want to compete, we will continue down the line in finish order until we have a total of 10 TTC competitors. All top Class 3 finishers have the chance to compete in the TTC and you must use the vehicle you drove in Class 3 to compete in it. Run order will be done by random number generator and will be posted on Sunday morning. You will be expected to be ready to run as your name is called.

TTC rules:

* Vehicles must follow SORCCA Class 3 specifications.

*The drivers for each course will receive points for how far they traveled or how fast they finished. The fastest time always wins in the TTC. After that it depends on how far you traveled on the course. The competitor that finishes first or travels the farthest will receive 14 points down to the last place competitor that will receive 1 point.

*Hitting a gate will add 1 minute to your time.

*Hitting a boundary will stop your run. You will be marked out at the point that you touched the boundary.

*You must winch off of natural objects or spikes that are placed on course. You may use a pull pal that you carry on your rig. No winching off other rigs, shoelaces etc. No hand of God rollovers, you must right your rig with a winch......no exceptions.

*You may only change batteries between courses and they must be hidden. No other changes can be made on a vehicle. If a vehicle dies on course you are done and will be marked at that point. You may fix it between courses but when it is your turn to run you have 1 minute from the time your name is called before you are disqualified for that course. You may replace parts that break or quit working, but no other changes may be made.

*The Tank Trap will receive double points.

Scale point bonuses:

Minimum of -20 scale points to compete

You will receive 1 bonus point for every -10 scale points you have above -20 (up to a max of -50).

1 bonus point for a scale looking driver

The courses will include:

1. Frame Twister

A winding course of rocks and holes with a water hole at the end with logs that you must pop over.

2. Obstacle Course

A criss-crossing array of hill climbs, off camber rutted trails, etc. Very fast and challenging.

3. Hill Climb

Multiple ups and downs with a steep climb at the end.

4. Mini Rubicon

A 100 foot long rock crawling course that will test your pro comp skills.

5. Truck Pull

A 30 foot flat dirt pull with a truck pulling sled.

6. Mud Bog

An long straight mud bog that varies from 3" to 8" deep. Bring your 4s pack for this one!

7. Tank Trap

Rocky, gnarly terrain for 300 feet with at least 5 water holes, a tunnel and other obstacles are in store this year! The Tank Trap and will be very challenging and you will want to be waterproof for sure, it's possible that you won't be able to see the competitors trucks for part of this one! The Tank Trap will receive double points.

Please ask questions. I'm reserving the right to change or modify these rules as the event gets near. Thanks, Tim.
