Default Junfac Joker Cr-01 under a Pro-line beetle shell

This is my 11 year old boys car!! I am just his mechanic. (I always wanted a Sand Scorcher as a kid, but never got one)

We got a CR-01 Land Cruiser a year and a half ago, and decided to modify it with the Junfac Joker chassis, which is a radical upgrade. I will buy the parts to get the CR-01 back on the road again when I have saved up a bit!

The rig runs really well, here is an album of the build.

The batteries are our first venture into li-po territory. they are 4200mah saddle packs meant for racing cars. We have got 2hrs of crawling and covered over 2 miles of driving without re charge. It is so nice not to have about 6 spare batteries and be changing them every 15 minutes.

Not got any weights in them yet, they seem to fill up with water if we go near a puddle.

Weights are the next things on the list.

Cant say enough how much lipo batteries have changed the driving experience. long run time and huge torque. we dont even need a second set, the two hour run time is sufficient for a mornings crawling. An hour to charge at 5 amps is fab.

Thanks for the comments.
